Commotion Across the Way
I started hearing yelling and pounding catty-corner from our apartment. The police were using a battering ram and yelling “POLICE! OPEN UP!” I saw them go into the apartment, walk the K9 unit in, and I saw them talking to someone in handcuffs on the patio. I never thought that something like this would ever happen so close to home. What an eventful morning!
NEW JOB!!!!
I got the job at ResCare Home Care. I had orientation on Wednesday and this Wednesday I go in for an “in-service” training day. I’ll also be getting my schedule, hopefully, and my name badge. I think I’m getting paid for the orientation on Wednesday, too.
The reason it’s taken so long for me to start working and get my schedule is because they were waiting for my background check results back from Colorado. They should be back by now, I would think.
I can’t wait to start working. It’s going to be fun, I think. I’ll be working with people that can’t stay alone all day. Such as elderly, mentally ill, and people that are recovering from surgery, strokes, or some other medical reason.
